Child Rights Observatory, Madhya Pradesh is an independent platform established for sharing insights, experiences, concerns for promoting and monitoring child rights individually or collectively in the State of Madhya Pradesh in consonance with the U.N. Convention of Child Rights. Conceptualized with the initiative and support of UNICEF, Child Rights Observatory, Madhya Pradesh (CROMP) aims at monitoring, advocating, lobbying, promoting rights of all children and youth in the state of Madhya Pradesh. |

| Governing Council |
The Child Rights Observatory, Madhya Pradesh, in fact is a society registered under Madhya Pradesh Society Registration Act. 1973 with No. 01/01/01/18379/07 dated 31/10/2007. It is a Non Governmental Organization, but has a special status. Its main objective is monitoring the progress of Child Rights in the State. It is the first of its kind institution in India and 20th in the world. It will act as a mediator between the government and non-government sectors. The institution has a Governing Body consisting of the following:
